In view of the current concerns and travel restrictions internationally as a result of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all participants, we have taken the decision to postpone the European Managed Services Summit 2020, originally scheduled for May, until 29 October 2020.
From discussions with both sponsors and delegates advising them of the postponement, it has become clear that there is a considerable demand for further information and dialogue now - if only to help deal with some of the new demands being generated by the current crisis. We have therefore decided to stage an additional online event – Managed Services Live – on 10 & 11th June 2020. This is not a replacement for the live event in October (we believe live face to face interaction, learning and networking and can never be fully replaced digitally), it is designed to be complementary to it - to bring the industry together virtually and on-line to help deal with the unprecedented challenges we all currently face.
The event will take the form of four 2-hour interactive sessions over 2 days. Each session will focus on a key issue MSPs currently face and will be based around a keynote presentation from an independent authority along with further 10-minute interactive presentations and interviews with industry experts. They will also feature a moderated panel discussion responding to issues raised by the audience. Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions and help frame discussions before, during and after the event and will also be provided with access to presentation content and supporting materials after it.
Key elements of the online summit:
The current climate is creating previously unimaginable pressures on businesses of all kinds and creating an environment in which managed services will have to be delivered much more effectively. Customers are under pressure to do more with less, and so their services suppliers must be as well. Skilled resources are in limited supply even as the squeeze on demand and an ever-wider range of solution calls for greater efforts from the industry. On top of this, fundamental changes in working practices and a surge in cyber-crime is raising issues for the entire customer base and MSPs themselves are targets. How to square this circle, increase efficiency and both develop deliver more value using smarter solutions, better tools, marketing and communications is the primary focus of this special event at probably the most significant time in the history of managed services.
